AMA Recap Crypto Library with BitBook


On 28th May 2021, BitBook conducted an AMA in the Crypto Library Community. Our guest is Nick Van Der Kolk. Lots of questions as usual from the Community about BitBook progress. The BitBook team took part in a very interesting AMA session which included introductions, questions from twitter, and a live AMA session with the Crypto Library community. Crypto Library Team : So, before we start the AMA could you please introduce yourself to our community?
Nick (BitBook) : Yes, my name is. Nick van der Kolk, im 33 years old and been in Sales for 17 years. Worked in my last job as the VP sales at TravelPerk, where I had 10 managers and around 100 sales people. We did 700 million in travel volume. Next to that I have worked 2 years for KuCoin as their Listing director. So I listed projects and picked the best ones. We stopped doing that last year. Now focused 100% on BitBook full time.

Crypto Library Team : What is BitBook? and how is the story/reason behind the BitBook project creation?

Nick (BitBook) : BitBook is the travel platform where people can book accommodation and earn tokens in the process. With our Token Reward program, not only will we drive adoption of the platform by incentivizing users to bring their friends onboard, but also we drive organic traffic by rewarding users who create remarkable travel content. We made BitBook because we want to enable people to create a passive income stream for themselves. I was inspired by Steem, how they have used User generated content as a business model to attract people coming to the platform. You see, in normal times, the number 1 google adwords spender of the world is, so trying compete with them there, is mission impossible. With our token economy we play in a different game, we can compete.

Crypto Library Team : What is so exciting about BitBook which make BitBook different from other projects out there?

Nick (BitBook) : Other crypto companies make the mistake of not having a solid working growth model. BitBook, on the contrary, is built with a focus on growth where everyone benefits: users are rewarded with tokens when they use our platform, and accommodation providers benefit from a lower commission structure solving their biggest challenge. BitBook’s business model will be split into three different revenue streams: 

  • Competitive commission model for every booking made on the BitBook platform. 
  • Affiliate Marketing to sell third party products (Insurance, flights, car hire etc) 
  • Advertisement to enable our partners to offer relevant products and services. 

The most exciting thing is the following: 100% of the revenue streams will be used to buy back tokens from the market, they will then be burned, decreasing the total circulating supply which will drive up the value of the BitBook token.

Crypto Library Team :  Please tell us about BitBook token $BBT! What are the token use-case, distribution, and where we can buy it?

Nick (BitBook) : BitBook is built with a focus on growth where everyone benefits: Travellers earn tokens when booking and reviewing their experience; 
  • Content creators earn tokens when they create quality travel content that attracts traffic to the site, and also for every new active user that they bring onboard; 
  • Influencers earn tokens for sharing the travel content on their social media accounts and leveraging their audience to bring new active users into BitBook; 
  • Accommodation providers benefit from a low commission structure, solving their biggest challenge and increasing their profits on each of their bookings; 
  • BitBook community benefit from the increase of traffic and adoption of the site as the value of the BitBook token increases.

Crypto Library Team : Please share some information about your roadmap, your milestones, and your future plans?

Nick (BitBook) : We will launch our MVP next week during the IEO actually! so that will be exciting and we have a couple of exchanges secured and paid for, that we will be listed on next. We will focus a lot on building out the platform step by step. So that we can deliver even more options and make more revenue. More revenue not for us, but like I said, 100% of revenue goes into buying tokens. from the market and burning them.
Crypto Library Team : What has been the biggest challenge to date in developing BSClaunchorg how have you overcome it?
Nick (BitBook) : No KYC needed, you get passive income due to that when someone registers on BitBook platform, they come from somewhere. For example they clicked on a link that you posted on your facebook. The person that was responsible for bringing onboard that new user will get attributed for Life to that person. When that person then books, it generates a reward for whoever was repsponsible bringing onboard that user. So in a sense, as time grows on , and lets say you brought 100 people to the platform and they book from time to time (summer holiday, maybe a ski holiday etc)
you will get rewarded, for 20 years!!
so it becomes truly passive

Crypto Library Team : I see your project is a bit like Travala adopting crypto in the travel sector.Are there many partners who will cooperate with your project? Are there any difficulties with local government regulations?
Nick (BitBook) : We are a bit like Travala yes, thats true! We have several partners indeed, but I want to point to the biggest potential partner for us who literally announced something amazing last week. Crypto Library Team : Can you explain how your Tokenomics is distributed? How many $BBT tokens will be printed? And how many tokens will the team lock?

Nick (BitBook) : Yes certainly 50 million private sale (15% discount) 350 million Public IEO , so thats 87,5% of all circulating supply After 6 months the reward programs begin, which create 0,25% inflation on a monthly basis for 20 years After 6 months and 20 years, the total supply will be 1 billion tokens. HOWEVER we have a 100% buyback program from all our revenue. So any revenue we make, we will use to buy and burn tokens from the market Team gets 0 tokens Team will start getting salary from the reward program in tokens, so not in revenue. This makes evreyone hyper focused on making the token more valuable.

Crypto Library Team : As a community based project? And do you have a Referral Rewards System Program or a Global Ambassador? If so, how can I join?
