AMA Recap Crypto Library with NewOrder

On 2nd December 2021, NewOrder conducted an AMA in the Crypto Library Community. Our guest is Fidel Franco. Lots of questions as usual from the Community about NewOrder progress. The NewOrder team took part in a very interesting AMA session which included introductions, questions from twitter, and a live AMA session with the Crypto Library community. If you missed the AMA in person, read this recap for a deeper insight into NewOrder.

Let’s take a look at the most interesting points of our conversation.

INTRODUCTION
Crypto Library Team : So, before we start the AMA could you please introduce yourself to our community?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : My name is Fidel I'm the project coordinator for New Order.  At New Order, we are building an on-chain experiment redefining the accumulation, formation and distribution of resources for DeFi builders. Our goal is to leverage the coordination offered through the DAO model to get founders from an idea to mainnet. We named this project New Order because we personally believe that by moving fundraising and incubation from the private sector into public and permissionless models, we are helping set the precedent for the “new order” of DeFi.
FIRST SEGMENT (HOST)
Crypto Library Team : Can you briefly introduce New Order ? and from where you get the project name? What does it mean to you? And why you choose this name for your project

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : New Order is an incubator DAO formed with the goal to build a self-governing incubator positioned to assist DeFi innovation, through promoting new asset classes, chain agnosticism and machine intelligence. In the future, we hope to leverage New Order as a vehicle for founders and community members to quickly get the resources they need to succeed in this niche sector of finance.

Crypto Library Team : What is your mission and vision to build this project? What do you want to achieve through your project in future?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : Our mission is to bring DeFi to everyone by building innovative and Multi-chain projects and community. We hope to be the Y-Combinator of DeFi.

Crypto Library Team : What strengths does New Order have to compete with competitors?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : Our team has deep experience in technology incubation in general, and in particular with helping out early stage blockchain projects. On the core team we have Eden Dhaliwal who was and continues to be a partner at Outlier Ventures, one of the top crypto accelerators in the space.

Eden is joined by Sami who’s a DeFi “mover and shaker” who’s impressive resume includes writing for Messari and being the founder of the [REDACTED] protocol - which is launching early December.

Marek used to teach Data Science in Toronto, and spent over a year at the prestigious Block Science token engineering agency helping some of the top projects in the space with designing mechanisms for their ecosystems.

Kiran Fernando also recently joined to assist our incubator projects with software development. He brings experience from a wide range of projects in Web3. He’s currently leading the tech side of [REDACTED].

Between our core team and contributors we’re well connected with most of the significant DeFi protocols, as well as many key L1’s and L2s; which is important as partnerships will be key for the success of our incubated projects.

Crypto Library Team : How important is the community to your project? and How can we collaborate or help share token for the development of the project?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : Community is everything to us! We are not a traditional venture DAO, we’re built differently so that we can involve our community more in our project launches. Giving them the opportunity to shape how we interact with early stage founders.

If you would like to contribute to our mission, we are opening the doors for yield strategists, developers, researchers, marketers, community managers and more to join New Order’s founding team.

Please see the article on our contributor programme for more information :

Crypto Library Team : Could you please provide some progress on your Roadmap and what results New Order has achieved so far?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : It’s still very early in our roadmap, the New Order project had our public reveal this past Friday. We’re in an initial growing awareness phase right now, and already our public channels across Twitter, Telegram, and Discord are growing rapidly.

Despite our short time as a public project, we’ve already helped incubate three projects:

[REDACTED] - which is a new money lego for the Curve Ecosystem, and OptyFi, a next generation yield optimiser that uses machine directed search to find the best multi-stage yield strategies in realtime and H2O a stablecoin that is back by Rai and Ocean Protocol.

More of our roadmap will be revealed in the coming weeks, which will include how the community can get more involved.
SECOND SEGMENT (TWITTER)
Crypto Library Team : based on your roadmap, Why did you choose Kleros and SafeSnap to integrate your DAO activities? Is there a specific reason @neworderDAO is using this initiative?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : We think they are great platform that responsible and we are partners that we feel in the long term they will be usable for our incubated projects.

Crypto Library Team : Does @neworderDAO have any specific technology solutions or plans to increase user confidence in security and anonymity issues? Because this problem is quite prioritized by similar On-Chain projects.

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : We are constantly working on new things to push innovation. For example, when it comes to anonymity, we believe that is a user's choice, and we certainty provide access for them to choose. As far security, we have many developers auditing our dapps. We also have many partnerships that allow us to see what they are doing in terms of security. We are also working on a bounty program for third parties.
THIRD SEGMENT (LIVE QUESTIONS)
Crypto Library Team : Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project / What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : Because our token is a governance token our community will take part on all the decisions. Eventually we want to community to fully run the DAO.

Crypto Library Team : Many new projects make a good impression at first but are suddenly abandoned. My question is, how will you manage the project and the token to get a position in the market and become the best token in the crypto world?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : We belive that in DeFi is not a winner take all space. Because we are launching around 40 projects by next year with various partners we are here for the long run.

Crypto Library Team : How to join NEWO public sale, sir?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : Yo know about our public sale you can check our latest blog post.

Crypto Library Team : Southeast Asia is a very popular and have a lots of potential with a very large market. So what do you think about South East Asia and do you have plans to expand your project and grow in these countries?

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : We think that is a great market! We have some incubated projects coming out of South East Asian and we hope there are more to come.

Crypto Library Team : Is your platform suitable for crypto beginners.? Or does it only limited for professional users

Fidel Franco (NewOrder) : You are able to vote via our governance token if you want to know more about it here is our blog post in mirror.
