AMA Recap Crypto Library with Agoraverse
On 21st July 2022, Agoraverse conducted an AMA in the Crypto Library Community. Our guest is Oscar Bellei. Lots of questions as usual from the Community about Agoraverse progress. The Agoraverse team took part in a very interesting AMA session which included introductions, questions from twitter, and a live AMA session with the Crypto Library community. INTRODUCTION
Crypto Library Team : So, before we start the AMA could you please introduce yourself to our community?
(Agoraverse) : For sure! My name is Oscar and im the CEO and co-founder of Agoraverse. 23 year old french web3 and tech enthusiast, studying Masters degree in digital project creation. Got into crypto in 2017 and in Solana NFTs at the start of 2022. Permanently between Paris and my hometown of Metz. At the start of the year, myself and 3 associates launched the Solana NFT collection "The Lofts Business Club" that instantly sold out.
FIRST SEGMENT (HOST)
Crypto Library Team : What is Agoraverse? and how your team begin the process of creating this project?
(Agoraverse) : Agoraverse is a metaverse company founded in March of this year after the successful sale of our Solana NFT collection “The Lofts Business Club” - a collection of 5000 NFTs that grant access to virtual apartments inside of our metaverse : the Agora.
The goal is to create the best e-commerce focused metaverse through an online tool that would allow any company, independently of their size, to create their own virtual storefront and thus, their own metaverse experience. These storefronts will then coexist inside our shopping mall metaverse experience.
It was once we had sold out our NFT collection that we decided to take this approach and focus on the e-commerce side of the business. We believe it is the strongest use case and argument for the Metaverse, and will actually create value for customers.
Crypto Library Team : Why should we choose Agoraverse than any other project out there?
(Agoraverse) : We have already refined our product vision and selected what we believe is the most relevant sector for the metaverse : e-commerce. This gives us razor sharp accuracy in our approach. We also have raised enough funds to comfortably keep developing our project for the foreseeable future, with more investments planned for the end of the year through our token sale.
Our team is composed of young and passionate individuals that carry the project forward and bring their technical expertise together, consisting of game development, 3D modeling, blockchain development, creative direction. On top off that our partnership with GDA Capital is key and has opened important networking opportunities.
The main competitor is obviously Facebook as their budget is equal to none - but we believe their focus is on the whole metaverse experience rather than a select aspect of it, like we have with e-commerce. We also have the benefit of being able to move quickly and with precision.
Crypto Library Team : Please tell us about $AGORA token and Agora private lofts in detail!
(Agoraverse) : Our token, $AGORA, is the currency of our Metaverse. Every feature that is being developed has the currency in mind, meaning that it will be offered as a payment method in partnered stores and will be one of the ways to rent your metashop. We are also aiming to have a strong creator economy, where talented individuals will be able to contribute to the platform or for their clients and be rewarded with $AGORA.
On top of that, $AGORA is used in all our blockchain related features, whether that be NFT upgrades, NFT mints or even our own NFT raffle website.
The intent behind creating this currency was to give us the additional possibilities that come with developing our own economy, and shaping our product to take that flexibility into account. It also acts as a great way to raise funds and continue developing the project.
The Lofts are our virtual metaverse apartments, each one of them linked to an NFT that grants access to it. They are fully customisable to your liking, multiplayer and will allow you to showcase your NFTs to your guests. The Access Cards (name of our NFT) can also be staked in order to reward $AGORA to the holders.
Crypto Library Team : Could you give us some information about your roadmap, your milestones, and also your future plans?
(Agoraverse) : Here are some of our milestones:
Agoraverse, through the Lofts Business Club NFT collection sale, raised over 750,000 dollars back in February and set a record at the time for volume traded in 24 hours. Through this crowdfunding, we created the company and hired more employees, bringing the team up to 15 members.
The Lofts private virtual apartments were released at the end of June, granting NFT holders access to their property.
We have partnered with multiple influential NFT projects in the Solana space to create their virtual storefronts that we call metashops. We have also partnered with GDA Capital in order to work on our tokenomics and go to market strategy.
Here is what to come:
During Q3 of 2022, we plan on releasing the first metashops and making them accessible online to any curious visitors.
We are releasing a new NFT PFP collection on Solana, called "the Agorans". This collection will give a face to our community and strengthen our engagement with them. This will also be the opportunity for us to start burning $AGORA
Before the end of the year, we will launch our $AGORA token on an exchange and secure VC/investors funds. The end of the year will also mark the moment when our metashop creator tool will be released to the public and that we will start generating revenue. 2023 will be the year where we develop our product for mobile - as e-commerce immensely benefits from it.
SECOND SEGMENT (TWITTER)
Crypto Library Team : Which payment method can we use when shopping with companies within the Agora ecosystem? Will you encourage payment with $AGORA?
(Agoraverse) : Payment method depends on what products are being sold inside a metashop. For real world businesses that sell material products, we will integrate the payment method of their choice, whether that be credit card, paypal, or any other traditional solution. We will offer them to also accept payments with crypto-currency to open new revenue streams for them. $AGORA will be the preferred token to use for payments.
For NFT projects, payment will depend on which blockchain the NFT is hosted on. For Solana projects, the purchases will obviously be made with Solana but we will also offer payment in $AGORA as an option to our partners, and give them the possibility to use their native token inside of their metashop. We will always incentivize the use of $AGORA as a currency to any of our partners!
Crypto Library Team : Agoraverse has a transaction system based on the Solana blockchain. What are the main advantages that being based on Solana brings to you as a company and to us as your users? Why did you choose to work with Solana specifically?
(Agoraverse) : Our transaction system is not completely based on the Solana blockchain, as our ambition is to be a true cross-chain experience.
That being said, we love using Solana because of its amazing technical prowess (high TPS), very cheap gas fees compared to ethereum which allows easier mass onboarding of the blockchain and last but not least, its vibrant community which is one of the most active NFT communities online.
We have had the opportunity to participate in their Hacker House event and meet some of their core team members, and will always remain bullish on Solana.
Crypto Library Team : How will Agoraverse become a commercial hub where companies, NFT projects and influencers alike can showcase and sell their products in true Web3 style? What are you working on to achieve this?
(Agoraverse) : Agoraverse will allow any company, business or individual to open shop in the metaverse, using the powerful editor tool we are currently developing. Our metashop experiences are unique and will allow brands to showcase and sell their products or services in a truly gamified way, improving their conversion rate, their customer's basket size and their engagement to the brand.
These experiences are entirely themed after the product, which creates a whole new dimension of immersiveness that can only be replicated in video games.
Crypto Library Team : Where do you see Agoraverse in 5 years? In a world where Metaverse and Blockchain takes more and more attention?
(Agoraverse) : There is no way to predict the future with accuracy when we are talking about the Metaverse and Blockchain. The truth is that at the speed at which the ecosystem evolves and innovates, you have to constantly stay on your toes and be flexible to market conditions.
That being said, my opinion is that Agoraverse will become the largest shopping in the mall with over 5000 stores. By then, we will have developed a mobile version and our token will be adopted by most of our partners as payment method. The metaverse will become a new tool that everyone is used to and engages with to make more informed online purchases
Crypto Library Team : How is this project different from the other Metaverse projects that already exist?
(Agoraverse) : In our opinion, most of the currently existing metaverse experiences are closer to online video games rather than metaverse experiences. What I mean by that is they often have a cartoon-like feel that is not attractive to traditional business sectors that would like to have a more accurate/realistic rendition of their products.
What also often happens with the metaverse projects we have seen, is that they try to tackle to many sectors at once. We are fully committed to making the best e-commerce metaverse experience possible and are allocating all our developers to that effort. This gives us a considerable edge in terms of development timeline.
We also have the added value of already having a strong community of investors through our NFT collection and the opportunities to network with many actors in the ecosystem.
THIRD SEGMENT (LIVE QUESTIONS)Crypto Library Team : How strong is your team ? Many projects starts with good impression and later abandoned the project. What makes your project different than others? Please share with us!
(Agoraverse) : The team is full of passionate individuals that work hard and are interested in creating tomorrow's world. We have been producing quality content since January and have been constantly delivering and interacting with our community. We are proud of what we are building and want our holders to share this same feeling.
Crypto Library Team : Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share us with the inspiron for approaching to this name?Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? (Agoraverse) : Agoraverse comes from the greek word "Agora" which was the place inside of the town where individuals would meet and talk. Fitting name for a metaverse.
Crypto Library Team : Is your project only for a few English speaking countries or for users of other languages?
(Agoraverse) : Currently yes, the project is mainly in english with priority given to the North American and west european markets. In the future though, we will expand to every corner of the globe.
Crypto Library Team : Do token holders have the right to participate in project management? What kind of decision can they vote on about the project?
(Agoraverse) : While token holders will not have a direct input into development, they will be consistently called to give their opinion on some of our choices and will be able to vote when we need community input.
Crypto Library Team : Regarding the article you dedicated in your medium to your $AGORA token, I read that it is specially designed for creators and can be used to user rewards and the lofts business club access card holder, but outside of your ecosystem, does it have any use?
(Agoraverse) : Yes, the token will have use outside of our ecosytem but its core value will derive from it. Outside of our ecosystem, we plan on it being one of the currency methods chosen by our customers and partners that open shop in the Agora.
